Second World: Raid Guide

Raiding: Bringing Down Monsters
Player Guide (Part 2) by Soldier 76

Alright trooper, so you wanna make it past the thirtieth floor and see coin like you've never had before? You wanna buy all the fat legendaries and then go party with the gamer girls as the center of the party? You wanna become a raider?

These are the four rules that every raider should know:

Strategize
The game host is your enemy. To him, you're nothing but the next meal stepping into his feeding lair, filled to the brim with every form of monster and trap to ensure your demise.

Your advantage is that Second World requires a full test run of the game. There's always a way. Your group's job is to replicate the test run's method using your numbers as your number of tries.

Save your team's items
Everything always comes down to items. You want his items. The host wants your items. And the winner gets to keep the loser's items.

The game host relies purely the system's major fault: If there are no more players, he gets all the items left in the game. But if you pick them up, you can return them to your guild member in the lobby afterwards. As long as one member makes it to the end, you win.
Preparation
So now you're thinking, "Well that sounds easy." But being a group also carries a bigger risk: If you all die in the game, your entire guild loses all their items and you ALL go back to square one.

What if a potion could have made a difference? What if everyone had a potion? Even the smallest advantage can make the difference between victory and complete defeat. Always come prepared.

Player Killers
If you think the game host is your only enemy, that's where you're wrong. While your guildmates won't attack you, other players have no such restriction in combat games. We call these breed "Player Killers."

They use cheap tricks like sneaking in with invisibility potions, follow your steps and wait for you to engage in combat, so they can stab you in the back and make off with your items. Lesson: ALWAYS check for player killers.

Should the unthinkable happen and you completely wipe---then it's time to find a new guild. The fastest way to get new items is to run with a fully geared raid, which usually marks the disband of your old guild. But once your guild gets enough experienced players and powerful items, you can easily dominate most games effortlessly.
